Volunteers Provide Non-profit Mom Starts Here with Supplies to Organize Donations!

SEFCU employees recently tackled another project at the new downtown Troy headquarters of Mom Starts Here. Their great new space allows for more storage and distribution of baby items, but no shelving or ways to organize and sort the many bins of donated inventory – until now!

As an organization that provides coaching and parent education, along with supplying needed baby items and diapers, Mom Starts Here receives new and donated items to distribute to their clients. The SEFCU team spent the day assembling shelving, cube storage units, rolling racks, and additional furniture to outfit the new location to allow volunteers to easily sort donations for incoming clients.

“Once again SEFCU showed up in a BIG way for Mom Starts Here,” said Mom Starts Here Founder and Executive Director Kyla Schmidt  (a Why I Care Award recipient). “Thank you for being such a fantastic partner to us. We love you!”
