What is a Credit Union?
A credit union (like SEFCU) is a cooperative financial institution, owned and controlled by the people who use its services, called members. You can rest easy knowing your money is safe here. Like all federal credit unions, SEFCU is chartered, regulated, and insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a U.S. government agency created for just this purpose. Member accounts are insured up to at least $250,000 per member account, and up to $250,000 for IRA accounts.
How do you become a member?
Becoming a member is easy and there are a ton of ways you can qualify. SEFCU is not just for State employees. Take a look at our membership eligibility list and you'll know in minutes how you may qualify. Use ClickSWITCH to move your accounts to SEFCU quickly and easily!
