How to Transfer Balances from non-SEFCU Credit Cards

From online banking (desktop computer)

  1. Log in and click on the Credit Card Portal widget. (You may need to click "More" depending on how you have personalized your Dashboard.)

  2. Click “Account Services” and then “New Balance Transfer.” (You may need to review and accept the eSign Agreement, if you have not already.)

  3. Input information for the card from which you are transferring the balance. Then verify and confirm the information.

  4. The balance will be added to your current SEFCU credit card. Timing of balance transfers will vary across credit card issuers. You may come back to this portal to check on the status of your balance transfer request.

From the Mobile app

  1. Log in and click the Credit Card Portal widget. (You may need to click "More" depending on how you have personalized your Dashboard.)
  2. Click “Menu” and then “Account Services” 
  3. Click “New Balance Transfer” and input information for the card from which you are transferring the balance. Then verify and confirm the information. (You may need to review and accept the eSign Agreement, if you have not already.)
  4. The balance will be added to your current SEFCU credit card. Timing of balance transfers will vary across credit card issuers. You may come back to this portal to check on the status of your balance transfer request.

  2. Make sure you have your most recent credit card statement available for the card(s) balances you wish to transfer
